The Poldi Bag is a piece with a story as special as its design. Named after Grandma Leopoldine, who carried a similar bag in her youth, it is a homage to timeless craftsmanship.
The original bag was a treasured find in Leopoldine’s closet. The Vienna-based labels Natures Of Conflict and Glein reimagined it for today, blending vintage inspiration with modern versatility, featuring a spacious, rounded bucket shape with an innovative pull-through handle that cleverly doubles as a secure closure. Wear it short over your shoulder or long as a crossbody!

The Poldi Bag is made of Vacchetta leather which is an untreated cowhide, vegetable-tanned and fully dyed in barrels using oak bark and chestnuts. Following a centuries-old tradition, this process ensures both durability and a natural color. Unlike conventional leathers, the surface is not coated with lacquer but treated with a blend of natural waxes and oils. This gentle method preserves the leather’s natural qualities. Over time, Vacchetta darkens, becomes more supple, and develops a distinctive patina that is unique to each piece and enhances the leather's durability.
HANDMADE IN CROATIA
The Poldi Bag is carefully handcrafted in collaboration with a small family-owned business in northern Croatia of premium European rawhides, sourced from ethical livestock farming. The workshop, located near Varaždin, has been specializing in crafting high-quality bags and leather goods for decades.The tannery, located in Tuscany, has been exclusively producing vegetable-tanned leather of the highest quality since the 1970s.
